This is amazing! Going through my bank statements I found a folder of items my parents kept throughout my years of school. In it I found an appreciation letter my High School art teacher made for my parents. Check it out below... Oh and my real name is Christopher.
To whom it may concern:
I have Known Christopher for the past 4 years. I have found him to be thoughtful and thorough. This is evident in all written work as well as the projects he did for class. More than once he came into the art room to get help on proportion or values (shading) during lunch break or before school. He seems very eager to learn.
Christopher has a natural curiosity and always wants to improve. He took art classes more than once. I remember how surprised he was the first time I asked if I could put one of his drawings in an art show. After class he asked, "is it really good enough to be in an art show?" His whole family came to that show and I was never surprised after that to see them at many more. Christopher comes from a very supportive family. Even during the semesters he was unable to take art, he would stop by with his latest drawings to show me. Sometimes they would be computer drawings and he would explain the newest tool he was using on his computer at home. His parents seem very proud of his interest in art.
I would also like to mention that Christopher is responsible, polite and dependable. I always knew he would be willing to participate and answer questions as well as help at the end of class to get materials put away.
I have seen Christopher's work improve over the years and with the kind of enthusiasm he shows, I know he will do well and succeed in whatever he chooses to do.
I can't believe I found this letter, and how motivating it is to me. I owe my interest in art to her. Here is an old art progress meme of the time I was in high school...and how I was improving over time fav.me/d2hy5pm
To starting artists, don't be afraid to show enthusiasm...you never know, it may be noticed
