OH it is. Nothing like the others, and the gameplay is awesome and never boring. The bosses, phew! I had to reel in a giant boss lava fish with Samus' grabble beam. I even got eaten and swallowed whole on some of the casual bad guys. Scared me the first time Samus was in a jaws of a giant beast.
Lol I remember playing a Metroid game (I think for the DS) and every time a boss came I would get so scared and freak out, mostly because it started a timer and I only had like 5 mins to get back to the ship
Gunpei Yokoi died in October 4 1997 in a turnpike accident. Two cars bumped each other, Yokoi went to see the other car's driver if she was okay, but a semi truck was on its way and could not avoid Yokoi. The contact was fatal, and his death announced worldwide 2 hours after. He left the following Nintendo characters he created in the hands of his pupil, Shigeru Miyamoto : Samus, Pit, R.O.B, Prince Marth, (Marth was mostly created by Shouzou Kaga), MR.Game&Watch, Princess Daisy, Yoshi and Wario. He created the GameBoy we all love today. Wario was his last character he created (1992) while Super Metroid (1994 in USA, 1995 in Japan) was the last game he worked on. In other words, Yokoi had the title of 'the God of Nintendo' before Miyamoto did, as Yokoi was Miyamoto's mentor.
