Ocean Floor_Speed Painting by Tsitra360 Ocean Floor_Speed Painting by Tsitra360
I wasn't ready to get back on my big art project yet. So instead I decided to paint another background. As usual I challenge myself to paint something I never painted before. An ocean. Not bad...with no references this is pretty good. (If I spent more time on this I would have attempted to paint all those ocean plants. Also, more random species of fish.)

Time: 2 Hours

Spine here!

Okay, first of all, the concept is rather nice, I like it how the ocean-floor kind of fades away a bit further. The anchor is a nice touch as well but all this bright blue really hurts my eyes. I'd suggest making the sand duller and having some wave-marks, like this [link]
Light-patterns are always a funny and really nice detail, too [link]

The surface of the water is quite dark so I'd suggest using a smaller amount of light in the water (I'd link to a picture but I gave up after 40 pages of other bullshit Google tried to shove down my throat). Maybe it could also slightly fade on it's way to the bottom?
Those stone-like structures are well done, I must say, they've got a nice texture and a lot of details : D

Unfortunately I can't think of much more to say, sorry about that :C But yush, all in all, it's a nice piece but still misses some details and such so I suggest you went and reffed a bit to achieve even better quality <3

Very nice! I like the random anchor ;) I wonder what boat dropped it...

Probably a boat that the captain left during a storm.

And thank you :)
