Brilliant piece of work. Definitely shows a strong sense of the clear skies on an evening. Everything about the image looks like an acrylic painting, which is an impressive accomplishment, because I couldn't do anything of this calibur.
The clouds are nice and fluffy, which is how they should be. The wings on Fluttershy are very impressive. They look realistic.
The shading makes the whole image look real. I love it.
I think the only down let of this image I can find is that I think Fluttershy's nose (mouth?) is a little too long and pointy compare to the cartoon style with is short and roundular. Other than that, it's the same cute Fluttershy.
Well, here goes my first ever critique, and I couldn't think of anyone better.
With this artwork, you have really captured Fluttershy. She's not one to spend time around people if she doesn't have to, except with her friends, and you've reinforced that by her distance away from her home.
Of course, you have included birds, being Fluttershy's interests, in looking after animals. It is nice to see Fluttershy in both her natural environment (the sky) and doing the things she loves best (being with animals).
The level of detail is of course, amazing. You've never had a problem with detail. The anatomy is correct, the birds are correct, the clouds look AMAZING, the city is perfect, if a little lacking in detail. I know this is probably what you were thinking in terms of lighting, but the shading on Fluttershy's face, I don't know. It kind of makes Fluttershy look a little dark? But of course, the fact that you've done excellent lighting and shading is a plus.
My main concern is the night sky, I'm not sure. It looks a little bland? I mean, I know there's not much you could've done with it, but yeah. I also DO notice the cluster of stars in the shape of a pony, and I think that was a nice touch, and of course the comet.
There's not much in this picture to be disappointed with, after all, it's you Chris. Overall, very VERY pleased yet again.
Very breathtaking scenery in this! I really love the amount of detail you incorporated here and the realistic feathering on her wings is pretty cool. Absolutely mesmerizing work on this pic
