First Animation by Tsitra360 First Animation by Tsitra360
My very first attempt at animation! Pretty simple, some mistakes, but hay!...This is my first attempt.

What? ...its playing weird..it didn't act that jumpy when I made it :/

the jumpiness is due to the slowness of people's browsers not your animation. (at least as far as i can tell) this is very good for your first time! mine was so pitiful i wanted to cry lol. of course, i was working with a more complicated subject that i had never drawn before (i must say i was to excited to be sensible)
one thing you might think about is maybe adding a purposeful lag at the beginning or end of the animation. that way it feels less repetitive, even though it lops (sorry for the ridiculously long comment, animation is one of my favorite subjects)

happy animating!!!

What I meant by that was:

a) Did you draw each frame individually (traditional animation)?

b) Did you export a drawing from Photoshop into Flash and animate it there?

Sorry, should have been a bit more specific there! ^_^

Drawn frame by frame and its all done in Photoshop. No flash at any point.

Keep up the good work.

welp. that's how you learn :) You don't start drawing right with stencils and other tricks.

yeah true if your drawing, but Ive determined I cant draw well enough just quite yet, but if your animating their are ways around it like tweening, which is what I'm trying out atm when I have time.

I'm actually avoiding falling back on tweening. I like to try little tiny animations all by hand. Get it ingrained in my head.

Thus is why I'm impressed your drawing every keyframe and why I love it, since you know Disney used to do it that way when 2d animations was epic and all, lol. =D

Yeah! Yeah that's awesome! First off, are we going to see more animations in the future, as in, just some random ones? Second, are you going to color her? Third, is she saying something and if so, what is she saying?

I started an animation yesterday of Luna.
I would recommend this guys animations.(Grant Beaudette-[link]) He does it with flash, but its still good to watch. He shows you timings and other animation requirements. He does stick to Mlp, buts did do a few for other cartoons. Just watching them has improved mine by a bit. Its still takes time and practice, and a load of patience.

Delete either frame 7, 8, or 9. They are pretty similar. Also have you tried the program Pencil or PAP4?

Maybe it's the time per frame that's too high? :shifty:
Looks steady enough. Keep at it :dummy:

I believe is that I manually made certain frames delay...like .03 sec and stuff like that. Next time it will just be pure frame by frame so I can get smoother results.
