i once had a dream when my mom told me to come look at this she was at the window i went to her and in the sky i saw a big pegasus past the clouds and in the moon light i remember it in perfect clarity then one day i saw a real horse acting wierd kind of like pinkie who is my favorate pony what do you think of that Tsitra?
This is the shadow that receive the least light [no reflected light, no main lightsource or other lightsources], so logically it is the darkest part of the shadow. It usually appear when 2 objects are very close so no light/very little light can interfere. You have to think in 3D when you draw your stuff. Some people makes 3D models in graphic program to see how light will interact with the surface of the model [link] (3D models are helpful with perspective as well, that's mine quick model to see if I cought everything well in my sketches [link] (you can see a very quic reminder sketch of the character's previous design (on which the 3D model is based on) here: [link] (arrow with "PReVIOUS")).
Nice tutorial: [link] but be aware: you have to be logged in with mature filter off (explicit sexual content). But aside of that it is very good tutorial about colouring, lighting, shading (no grayskale).
Also, I discovered an amazing way to get to sleep!
I used to have trouble falling asleep, but I figured out that if you "daydream" while trying to get to sleep, you fall asleep faster, and it helps you remember your dreams! Amazing!
Mind, I'm not sure how well it works from person to person. Especially since I have a graphic imagination. (Graphic meaning highly creative and detailed with very cinematic-like projection. Not graphic as in gore or porn. Or gore AND porn, which is really sick.)
I often daydream before I go to sleep - I find my mind changes so rapidly that on the rare occasion I do remember my dreams, they are in no way related to the daydreaming. Ah well, might try daydreaming more, see if it helps.
Well, I'm not sure about you, but my daydreams are pretty deep. So deep that it's pretty much like I'm already sleeping. My teachers used to think I daydreamed in class... Proved them completely wrong when I actually did. lol.
This is very beautiful. Don't get me wrong to say this though, as a bit of criticism, the anatomy is a little bit off. Well, not too big of a detail, but the neck seems a bit long to me. It might be just me though... Well anyways, I like it.
That's a pretty awesome looking dream, for starters. I'd say you did a beautiful job bringing her vision to life. Did your sister dream up the book cutie mark too or did you like the idea? I wonder if the white hoof tips are nail polish just so people can see her coming at night. Otherwise she'd need to put red and green lights on her wings and attach a strobe to her tail.
Thanks, and no she didn't dream it up. Though a day later she dreamed as a pony again. This time though, she became aware she was actually dreaming and bothered to look what her cutie mark was and discovered it was a rose!!! So I need to update this. It makes sense its a rose, she has been getting very active lately in her garden and is loving it. Isn't that awesome though? Take control of your own dream and look at the details…man I envy her.
A few times I've realized I was dreaming and took control, but for some reason it's really hard to maintain. Still, sometimes I see some beautiful and grand places; it'd be great if I could paint them or something. We need a camera that we can take into our dreams.
Then again the little garden we have IRL here is pretty great too. I hope you get plenty of time to enjoy your sister's garden as well.
