Dead End Highway by Tsitra360 Dead End Highway by Tsitra360
A favorite highway of mine getting to an interstate...so many awesome cliffs. On this part...it literally looked like a dead end so I pulled over and took this photo (Hardly anyone on these roads)

Camera: iPhone4
Effects: Camera+ for iPhone

As much as I hate the iPhone with a passion, I can still accept that this image is really good.

Nice photo!
That's a very good photo from an iphone, I think only Nokia N8 can make better photo than iphone4...

Thanks, and I wouldn't know about the Nokia...if its about how many pixels it can take...then it doesn't make it better. What matters is how you use the camera. Even a camera with...1.3 Megapixels can make a better shot than an iPhone if used right. Like what many photographers says, it isn't the equipment, its the one who makes the photos that makes it shine.

This photo is actually cropped from the original size, plus the filter I used purposely added more gain into it. So this photo really shouldn't be used to judge on the quality of an iPhone that much.

I know.
I saw a test about "smartphone camera test" or something, and according to the test the best is Nokia N8, and the second was iphone4....
I know its not about how many pixels it can take...

Hey, the iPhone snapshot is not that bad, it may not be as good as actual digital cameras, that's the reason why I wanted a new smartphone rather than a digital camera. :)

Anyway, unless if that road leads to a tunnel, otherwise, it may become more like a Road Runner scene for Wile E. Coyote.

This photo is actually cropped from its original size. About 30%. And the filter I used in Camera+ actually added grain to it on purpose. However, like you said it isn't as great as actual digital cameras. If I had the chance, I would've used my Nikon D40X to take the photo.

Haha yeah, Wile E. Coyote would fit here. The road actually goes right up to that cliff and runs around its base. From this point you can't see that, making the illusion of a dead end.

Ahh, I see what you're talking about. Photography wise, that is one unique shot.

And of course, phone camera lenses just aren't as good as their big size brothers. Moreover, I remember people are still crazy on high megapixels, but the fact is, it's simple physics, high megapixels on small phone-size lenses just won't guarantee high quality pictures, it only gives out hidden pixels and grains (I'm sure not even Retina display can eliminate them), real digital cameras just don't have those.

There's many things to see on this road. Black Lava Rock plains, Sandstone arches, and mountain tops that isn't flat but slanted.

The road isn't that great actually. There's many old and new spots on this 40 minute stretch. This one happened to be newer.

And here if you go to the suburbs, it's trees, more trees, huge forest, forest again, ruined roads, forests again...some small lakes, and again forests, so much diversity =)
