I personally like this design, I have been told from *closet bronys* that they actually would buy this design! Win for everyone! Show your pony appreciation...without being too obvious.

This is truly excellent. As a closet brony this is definitely the most wearable in public design I've seen. Keep up the great work

I don't get this one, especially when compared to Twilight's or the others.  It just looks like a rushed drawing of a poorly imitated chalk drawing & feels like it has no real connection to Rainbow Dash at all.

Pinkie Pie's feels similarly weak as well, but I feel like I get the idea at least (powdered sugar right?) However this doesn't have any clear thought to me at all.

Well Rainbow Dash tends to rush things, always going fast and not putting much effort into anything that doesn't benefit her directly.

So why chalk & not, you know, clouds?
IndividualityA Featured By Owner Nov 25, 2013
You can't draw with clouds. Granted Twilight's is not an interpretation of someone else art either, it's a scenery. However, *personally* I feel like the artist was suggesting the ponies were making self portraits of themselves.

But with Twilight's magic, absolutely she could make a self portrait out of stone. Pinkiepie doesn't have magic, so she would use the medium she's more familiar with, which is candy and sugar. Rainbowdash is nearly out of luck since she can't make something more permanent in the sky before she probably blows it away.
So in that case, chalk really sort of makes sense, giving the illusion of clouds; rushed and in motion like SpaceBunny suggested.

Why can't you draw with clouds? Is the word you looking for here, 'sculpt'?
IndividualityA Featured By Owner Dec 2, 2013
Yes; sculpt, draw, or carve. Rocks are solid and finite. Water particles in the air are not. ;)

Yah, its not like they built a whole city out of them & named it Cloudsdale.

well,it is a cartoon,to say the least.Look at Tom and Jerry. They never die.So what's the difference in MLP?Actually,I think Hasbro is being creative, with Cloudsdale and all.And I think the powdered chalk on the sides is a good cloud effect enough.
