Ok, this was actually a color doodle. My aim was to study light direction and shading. I simply chosen Spyro and Cynder since they are easy to make. So what you think? Good art study?

Program: Only Sketchbook Pro :D (no photoshop tricks)
Time: Roughly 11 hours.

Please Critique on the lighting and shading. The background wasn't part of my art study.

As far as I can see, the shading and lighting are both perfect. I love the glow effects from the crystals to the dragons and I think the glow colors were chosen perfectly here. The shading is done exeptionally well. The shading makes everything look as it should be. Infact, the bright glows throughout the picture is what caught my eye. Of course, Spyro and Cynder caught my eye, too. Overall, you did a super-wonderful job in this picture here. Excellent work, Tsitra!

well very amasing work!
let me just say i love the whole picture. but ofcouse there is something you can do better ^^

let us just start with the bg.
i love the way you drew the sky. it look very amasing. but then you are doing lightning remember to give the clouds some light from the lightning. it looks more unrealistical then.
i love the the crystal. all of them. and i can't see what you can do better with them so keep it up.
the ground is also very amasing and i can't se either what you can do better so keep it up.

now to spyro and cynder.
they look very amasing. i love the pose and the shading!
about the shading.
it look very awsome and you got a way you could mix realistical and and cartoon style (did i think) so i can't se what you could do better there just keep it up!
the pose.
it look very amasing i love the pose. but i don't realy like the paws. let me say the left front paw look a little bit odd. and then i look on the ground i can't see are they flying i little bit over the ground :noes:
and the right hindlegs (with booth of them) is longere 'down' then the left one :noes: so it look a little bit mysteriuse :/ and remember what perspective you are looking from :/ (i do NOT say i can do it better)
the details.
not much to say here. it look veru amasing and epic. you realy got all the details. so keep it up ^^

It's very good god my dragon loves crystals so bad. My dragon with take them if my dragon was in the game itself lol.

Thank you, I like lighting and how it can wrap around objects or reflect through glass. And yeah I do need more practice, such as the fact they look like they're floating.

This is a very nice lightning study! I see you've tried your best on the highlights and shadows, and I'll say that it's very nice! I don't see any flaws in the shades and lights c: The only faults I see have to do with the anatomy but that wasn't the purpose of this drawing XD It's just that Cynder's hind leg looks a bit weird to me :/ But yeah...<w< That's probably just me XD
