I think this one is my best Applejack piece to date...I need to get the other three done before the con....oh geeze....

(Comment? I may not reply to everyone but I do read them all :) )

Update: Added more depth to the background by adding in some slight blue. The foreground is also brighter. Thanks for the feedback!

How do you do the blending on the body, and how is it that you do the mane and tail?

Don't know really, I experiment a lot. Primarily its just a soft round brush with low opacity.

Pardon me if this is getting annoying, but how low usually? I use about 20% and can't seem to get a smooth blend.

It differs from artist to artist. Experiment. I don't use just one set opacity as different portions accomplishes different things. Refer to this video, it will help you alot [link]
